March 1-5 FAQ

Where is the Book Fair going to be located?

The Book Fair is virtual (all online) March 1-14. Purchases will be mailed to participants home.  Find our fair at: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/homepage.do?method=homepage&url=forestheightsstemacademy

What/When is Walk the Runway for Favorite Book Character Dress-up Day

Students and staff (dressed up) will be asked to meet me on the cafeteria stage during the 1st five minutes of their lunch time or lunch recess (whichever is first).  We will privately video record their participation and release them to go to lunch/recess.  Later the fashion show will be broadcast via a website link (most likely later in the week). Virtual participants at home can video record themselves dressed up in their own runway walk (example: down a hall way).  Upload all photos on the Library Schoology Page.

Teachers/Parents, please let me know if a dressed up student does not have a photo release.

Will  classes have a guest reader?
Based on surveying preferred events, there will not be guest readers this year.

Do teachers make a wish list:
Everyone is encouraged to view the 3D Book Fair and make a wish list.  However, Scholastic recommends that teachers do an eWallet and send the link to parents and supporters. Before the end of the virtual fair March 14 teachers will select there preferred books which will be mailed after the fair has completed.  Click to find out how to create an eWallet:

When can students articipate in Book Inspired STEM Activity?
I will post resources to the media center’s website at www.fhsalmc.blogspot.com that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.  We encourage any class/pull-out class activities, and students will participate in 1 or more activities during face-to-face ibrary time. Everyone is also encouraged to participate in activities at home.  Be sure to submit any photos to the Library Schoology Page.

Feel free to email Mrs. Williams if you have other questions.

Remember we have been studying Super 3 and Big 6 as a process for research. These steps will help you think about what to do first, second, third, etc.   You may still need help finding the right source (book or online).  Please feel free to message me on Schoology or ask in the library media center.
