Read a Million Words (Update)

We have overwhelmingly exceeded reading a million words thanks to 120 students so far and can designate a no uniform day (tentative May 1) for those students participating in the AR challenge that begin March 2. Students who have not participated so far can still be eligible for the no uniform day by reading and quizzing through April 23.  All eligible participants will receive a notice.  Students should also continue reading and quizzing to reach their individual AR goals and TOP AR Honors.

Double click on the word annoying in Chapter 1 in the section of the book when Deza begins talking about annoying traits.  compare and contrast an annoying trait of one of Deza's family members to one of your own family members.

Deza mentions that her family motto is "We are a family on a journey to a place called Wonderful." Why do you think the Malone's have this motto?  Does your family have a motto?  If so, what is the motto and why does your family have this motto?  If your family does not have a motto, consider what your motto could be and tell why you chose this motto?
