Forest Heights Students Visit Washington, D.C.

Students from Forest Heights visited sites in Washington, D.C. including a special study of the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit at the Smithsonian National African American Museum of History and Culture. Students were tasked to create an online map/journal of their experience to share with Forest Heights and other school partners of the Milton P. Crenchaw Aviation Training Academy by invitation of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society-Arkansas Chapter.

Highlights of the trip included visits to:

Drive through Embassy Row and Georgetown

Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History & Culture

Lincoln Memorial

African-American Civil War Memorial and Museum

Woodrow Wilson Presidential Museum (Stauton, VA)
