Digital Learning Day is February 17, 2016. Visit the media center anytime that day and after school to participate in mini-workshops on a few digital tools including but not limited to: Google Sketchup, Google Earth, Storyboard That, and More.
During the month of February, try the following challenges to build your skills in new Digital Tools. Ask for additional details in the media center.
Challenge 1
Google Sketchup Fort (Inspired by the book, the Fort that Jack Built, Ark. Diamond Nominee)
Utilize Google Sketchup and Models to recreate Jack's Fort or or design your own indoor fort.

Utilize the Storyboard That to to recreate Jack's Fort or design your own indoor fort.

Challenge 2
Utilize Storyboard That, Google Sketchup, and/or another program to create scenes that retell the story of the Fort that Jack Built or another story.
Challenge 3
Using Google Earth, tell the story a person/group, place, or thing utilizing points on a map detailing location, dates, and important points. Examples include but are not limited to a famous person's life, your family tree, an invention timeline (example: computer technology), event/period in history (example: Little Rock Nine), etc.
February 17 Deadline
Submit your saved challenge files to deidre.williams@students.lrsd.org by February 17 (4:30pm) to enter a chance to win a 3D Print of a model (Courtesy of LRSD Instructional Technology) and other prizes (Courtesy LRSD Parent Involvement and Comcast).
February 26 Deadline
Submit your saved challenge files to deidre.williams@students.lrsd.org by February 29 to enter a chance to win a 3D Print of a created or selected model (Courtesy of LRSD Instructional Technology).
